Growing up, the kitchen was the place in my house where my family was able to spend the most time together, where I could be with the people I love, do homework, or relax. I now live in an apartment with a very tiny kitchen that has not much counter space or storage. I love to cook, but my kitchen sometimes makes it frustrating. For all the years I took my kitchen at home for granted, I am now finding beauty in the idea of an open, spacious kitchen where people can come together and make great food. I suppose there is also beauty to be found in that which we come to appreciate more after having lost.
