This is a still from the French film Amelie. While I think the entire film is beautiful, this still in general is beautiful because it depicts a different angle than one is used to seeing. In this way, the character is seen in a different way. Also, the color choice, the circular frame created by the lamp shade, and the focus on the bright light bulb are interesting choices that force the viewer to contemplate what this scene adds to the understanding of the rest of the film.
