This weekend I saw Drive at the 400, and out of the 8 people I went with I was the only that liked it--but I really liked it.

At around the 1:18 mark of this trailer you get to see part of my favorite scene of the film, where the nameless Ryan Gosling character kisses the female lead immediately before he brutally kills a hit-man. In this scene the audience gets to see the protagonist's motivation for the film; but when the scene ends and Ryan Gosling is staring at the Carey Mulligan character, out-of-breath and covered in blood, the audience sees how essentially incompatible The Driver's (Gosling's) means and desired end are.
